The 2020 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru had a nose that I could not quite work out, especially coming after the Charmes-Chambertin. It felt a little monochromatic at first, only gradually developing more fruit intensity and depth. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and ripe, though I little oaky on the finish? Tricky one this - difficult to see how this will develop and so I will be prudent with my score and wait to be proved wrong. 92-95 Points
