Neal Martin
The 2020 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru showed a little more whole bunch influence on the nose, although Arlaud did not divulge the exact percentage of stems are contained. There is plenty of black and blueberry fruit laced with peony and incense, but it will need bottle age to full coalesce these and the stem addition. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, very cohesive, well balanced and smooth towards the finish. Quite generous and precise on the finish, this Bonnes-Mares deserves 5-7 years in bottle, though it should reward those with patience. 95-97 Points
