The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru needs some coaxing from the glass, eventually revealing lemon sherbet and orange zest aromas, just a touch of marzipan in the background. The palate is clean and precise, the new oak is neatly integrated with a harmonious and poised finish with blood orange notes on the aftertaste. One of my picks from the domaine this year. 91-93 points

Attractive pale lemon. Lively fresh grape nose, more fruit than wine and this follows through on the palate too with excellent balance and length. Harmonious, successful. 91-93 points
