Anne Krebiehl MW
The 2019 Brut Hillside No. 3 Limited Edition, crafted from a late pick of the ripest Pinot Noir (65%) and Chardonnay from a south-facing slope, showcases the estate`s exploration of possibilities. The base wines fermented in a mix of stainless steel and oak underwent malolactic conversion, resulting in a rounded, generous wine that bursts with freshness. Aromatic notes of lichen and citrus envelop the creamy yellow plum fruit on the nose, while the palate offers smoothness with a hint of salty shortcrust. This delicious, expressive wine boasts full ripeness and freshness with a lovely umami finish. (Lot:1911117) 92 points

Much more recognisably champagne-like than the Preambles. Really sophisticated. Good grip on the palate and a dry but not drying finish. Long. Good mousse. Much more approachable than the Preamble 2016! 17 points
