The 2019 Bernkasteler Badstube Spätlese (Green Capsule) is another fascinating bright and floral, slate-driven Riesling. Lush and round, with vibrantly fresh and filigreed mineral acidity, this is a perfectly concentrated, tight and juicy, stimulatingly salty, piquant and grippy Badstube that already drinks very well but will calm down its hot blood a bit over the next few years in the bottle. Iodine, sustainable aftertaste. Tasted in May 2021. 94 points
