The 2018 Antica Cascina Conti di Roero Favorita (aka Vermentino) comes half from Canale vineyard and half Vezza. It has a lovely, fine texture; persistent, light acidity and has great drinkability. They sell a lot of this to vegetarian restaurants and it accompanies light food, or just conversation very aptly. Vermentino arrived in Piedmont from the Mediterranean coast in exchange for oil and other goods and is a tasty eating grape if you don`t mind pips. (CW 22/11/19)
