Beautiful mouth-filling fruit, quite intense, surprisingly dark. The acid-driven finish has an animalistic element that may come to the fore with age. (NT 21/02/19)

Allen Meadows
Here the nose is aromatically similar to the straight Auxey but with just a touch more elegance and complexity. Somewhat surprisingly this isn`t quite as dense though it is perceptibly finer thanks to the more refined tannins though the finish is still rustic and serious. This will require at least some patience but should make for a quality Auxey in time. 88-91 points
