Domaine Gagey
Aromatically giving, generous, full of perfume, the acid-driven attack gives way to a rich late palate that has clearly seen an amount of new oak. Satisfying, long aftertaste. (NT 21/02/19)

The 2017 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru is a little richer on the nose than the Les Bressandes, although it perhaps does not display quite the same definition. The medium-bodied palate offers dense red fruit laced with orange peel and a touch of spice. There is a little toughness toward the finish, but that should mellow by the time of bottling. 87-89 points
