Deep straw. Wonderfully aromatic: honeysuckle and gorse, crystalline yellow apple and pear and candied pineapple. Dried lemon peel and a hint of parchment show some development. There are lots of layers that continue to unfurl in the glass. Focused acidity carries through to the lingering finish. At a nice stage now but it can go on for several more years. It’s a delight to find a wine with this much depth, longevity and personality that’s also low in alcohol and retails for under £30. VGV 17.5 points
