A very classic expression of Tuscan Sangiovese (with a drop of Ciliegiolo): a core of red and black cherry fruit, grippy (yet very ripe and well-managed) tannins and bright, enlivening acidity. Oak-spice adds complexity and the overall effect is a very refined Morellino Riserva, drinking well already but with good potential over the next decade. (JH 12/06/22)
