Remarkably lean and zesty on the aromas, lemon and lime with wood-spice in the background. The palate brings the texture one might expect from a California Chardonnay, along with abundant, delicious flavours of a melange of stonefruit and a hint of ripe pineapple. Superb, still singing at ten years of age with plenty of promise for the future. Stunning wine. (JH 09/10/2025)

The 2015 Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict is the most precise of the three Chardonnays I tasted from Gavin Chanin. White pear, baked apple, spice and white flowers give the wine its characteristic aromatic lift and flavor intensity. Medium in body and gracious, it is simply impeccable. 94 points
