The 2014 Siran has a restrained but classy bouquet. Sage, graphite-tinged black fruit, and hints of pressed flowers unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, quite finely tuned with soy-tinged red fruit. It never develops a memorable finish, yet I appreciate the control and focus, staying within the limitations of the growing season and benefitting from it.
