2014 Roagna Dolcetto d`Alba

A gracious, light to medium-bodied wine, the 2014 Dolcetto d`Alba shows the more delicate side of the grape. Sweet plum, blueberry, mint and sweet spices are all given an extra kick of freshness from the cool conditions of the year. The 2014 Dolcetto is a bit slender, but quite pretty, and quite reminiscent of the style of Dolcetto that was more common a generation ago. Yields are down 50% and the alcohol is in the 12% range, typical for the year. 88 points
