Neal Martin
The 2014 Frere et Soeur Morey St Denis Village, which has come from the same vineyard since 2004, has a reserved, stony nose -- simple but defined. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly chewy tannin at the moment, accompanied by moderate depth on the rather obdurate, masculine finish. Give this a year once in bottle. 85-87 points

(from Clos Solon). A perfumed and quite pretty nose is composed of various red berries along with nuances of spice, earth and pomegranate. While the middle weight flavors are much more refined they aren’t nearly as concentrated as those of the Pommard though there is better balance on the lingering and slightly rustic finish. 87-89 points
