The 2014 Chambolle Musigny Village comes from Les Athets and Les Herbeux. It has a fleshy, slightly meaty red berry fruit on the nose that just needs to coalesce a little more. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly hard tannin that render this quite austere, more Morey-Saint-Denis in style. I would just like a little more flesh and volume to come through on the finish, but maybe bottle age will assist this wine. 87-89 points

(from Les Athets and Les Herbues). A very fresh and perfumed nose offers up an appealing array of black cherry and spice nuances. The supple and round medium weight flavors seem almost forward on the mid-palate yet they tighten up quickly on the muscular, moderately tannic and even mildly rustic finish. 87-90 points
