Mid purplish crimson. Rather opulent, sweet, elderberry fruit. A mouthful has something of a dry Lambrusco about it. It finishes dry after a great mouthful for sweet, ripe fruit and has one aching for a mouthful of a melted cheese dish or some charcuterie. Well balanced and lively with marked but not uncomfortable acidity. Good balance and already enjoyable – with food. 16 points
