The 2014 Arlaud 1er cru Ruchots was very reduced when we tasted it. It shows darker fruit than many of the Arlaud wines, is clearly very ripe, has great depth and still shares those very fine tannins. (CW 5/11/15)

Neal Martin
The 2014 Morey St Denis 1er Cru les Ruchots has a pretty cassis and blackcurrant-scented bouquet that just needs to muster more energy by the time it finds itself in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, quite tensile tannin. I like the mineral nature of this wine. It is an austere Morey-Saint-Denis, but the energy simmers at its core. Give it 4-5 years in bottle to find its groove. 90-92 points
