Gorgeous fruit here, velvety and rich, yet still airy. Satin tannins, which then firms up and focuses in to become straight and channeled on the finish. Reticent aromas of red fruits, spices, minerals and smoke, with a strong soil character. Big, rich and moderately sweet; a bit youthfully closed but expands in the mouth, finishing with substantial dusty but fine tannins. Full without coming off as heavy, but less high-pitched today than the Mitans. Here there`s a layer of gravel between the topsoil and the calcaire, which typically gives it a drier impression. 90-93 points

Lovely and racy and rich and sweet on the front palate. Just a bit foursquare – no lift off, but very jolly. You need to keep the faith for they make no modern compromises. Drink 2014-2021. 17 points
