The 2009 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d`Alba is unusually supple and gracious for a Serralunga Barolo, which gives it considerable appeal. Tobacco, wild flowers, herbs, mint and licorice add complexity over time, but the 2009 is a wine to drink and enjoy young, while the flavors remain buoyant. This is a terrific entry level offering. 91 points
