2009 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays

Secondary Description
Big on nose and on the palate - a big fresh wine with less obvious tannins. Greater weight of fleshy fruit though, without being at all heavy. A Q-ship. Long, mineral, caressing, a glorious wine, yet `lave la bouche*`. (CW 05/11/10)

Very fresh, great concentration but excellent balance. Savoury, meaty notes- leather, spice, long finish. (JG 05/11/10)

*pretentious for mouth cleansing.

Sarah Marsh

This has deep, dark fruit and a liquorish note on the aroma. Sweet fruit on the palate; dark, tight and focused. Touch of tar and gun smoke. It is compact, well defined and long on the finish. Fresh and vibrant at the end of the palate. Fine to very fine. From 2016/17
