1991 Glen Spey, AD Rattray 25 yo 47.4%

Properly aged spirit can have an umistakeable delicacy and finesse; this Glen Spey bottling is a beautiful example. Bounteous fruit and floral aromas are carried along by an almost ethereal texture. Despite coming from the heart of whisky country, Glen Spey is one of Scotland’s most obscure distilleries, on account of the very few distillery bottlings it releases. Most of the (younger) spirit distilled here goes into the J&B blended whisky. An extremely fine old barrel. (NT 27/03/18)
