Anne Krebiehl MW

The MV Extra Brut Rose, made from 59% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier, all Dorset-grown, consists of 82% wines from 2019 and 18% older reserve wines. Disgorged in January 2024, it spent 41 months on lees and presents a pale copper pink hue. Mellow Red Delicious apple flesh, peppery rye sourdough and lemon overtones on the nose highlight its Pinot predominance and oxidative style. The creamy mousse and low dosage emphasize a saltiness that melds seamlessly with the mellow apple flesh. This English fizz is wonderfully individual and almost rustic, yet somehow totally refined. 92 points
