Hailing from an undisclosed Speyside distillery (is it Glenrothes? It might be...), this single-cask 10 year old is remarkably expressive: beautiful ripe tropical fruit aromas mingle with demerara sugar and grassy malt-character. Rounded and warming in a genteel way which builds on the palate, carrying dried grass, banana and black tea flavours with it onto a mellow, melon-etched finish. A drop of water might extract a few more delicate flavours, but even at full strength this is a very relaxing, satisfying dram. (JH 28/06/2021)
