Jane Anson
Cloves, sage, dried spices, supple texture, plenty of cassis and dark bilberry fruit, clear oak influence that will soften over ageing, this has ageing potential and enjoyable fruit. Highly charged. Harvest September 3 to 12. 27 hl/ha. 65% new oak for ageing. 92 points

The 2025 Feytit-Clinet is a wild, exotic beauty. Succulent red/purplish fruit, exotic spice, blood orange, mint and rose petal caress the palate. A kiss of new French oak is nicely judged. Floral top notes pull it all together on the close. Stylistically, proprietor Jeremy Chasseuil has moved away from the darker, more extracted wines of the past. Tasted two times. 94-96 points

The 2025 Feytit-Clinet has quite a bit of reduction on the nose, but it blows away to reveal enticing blackberry and bilberry fruit, hints of truffle oil and black pepper. The oak is well integrated. The palate is very well balanced, with a sense of vibrancy, almost urgency, on the entry. Silky smooth tannins, perfectly judged acidity, tender and long on the finish, this might be the best Feytit that I have tasted from barrel, perhaps the `insiders` Pomerol` of the vintage? 94-96 points
