Going long on cloves and gently grilled cedar, this definitely has oak impact, and some sappy tannins, they are carefully building a wine with more ambition to age than many in the vintage; but it remains tight on the finish and a little soft on fruit. 91 points

The 2024 Mangot is soft, fruity and quite approachable. Dark-toned fruit, spice, new leather, incense and licorice are all woven together in this gracious, mid-weight Saint-Emilion. Mangot is a bit light, especially in the mid-palate, but it`s nicely balanced just the same. Tasted two times. 90-92 points

The 2024 Mangot feels a little introverted on the nose, only gradually unfurling with light minty red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, decent mid-palate concentration and gentle grip on the lightly spiced finish. This has a bit more length than its peers and should age well in bottle. 90-92 points
