Media Reviews

Jane Anson

Sweet oak, skilful construction, and the acidity is high but not aggressive. Raspberry leaf, brambled blackberry, cloves, smoked earth. Lorenzetti owner. First year certified organic. 30% new oak, Eric Boissenot, 34hl/h yield. 88 points

Antonio Galloni

The 2024 Lilian Ladouys is a very pretty, mid-weight Saint-Estephe. Floral and savory notes open first, leading to a core of red berry fruit. Lithe and elegant, with fine balance, Lilian Ladouys is quite the charmer. There`s just a bit of tightness on the finish, but elevage should take care of that. Tasted two times. 89-91 points

The 2024 Lilian Ladouys, which has slightly higher levels of Merlot and Petit Verdot, has a touch of dark chocolate and espresso on the nose that marginally obscures some of the fruit and slightly detracts from its delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with light and grainy tannins, simple with a somehow `generic` finish. I`m not sure the composition of the blend really suits this Lilian Ladouys, and that is reflected in my score. 86-88 points
