Jane Anson
Slim and savoury with lovely bright fruits, well handled, good quality, this is showcasing the vivid and just-skirting-ripeness character of the vintage, but it works, and is very well handled. Last vintage with Frederic Bonnaffous as Wine Director. 90 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2024 La Garde is a very pretty, elegant Pessac-Leognan. This wine has come a long way in recent years. That is evident even in the 2024, a wine that shows notable purity despite the mid-weight structure of the year. Red-toned fruit, flowers, mint and spice are nicely delineated throughout. 90-92 points

The 2024 La Garde has decent fruit concentration on the nose within the context of the vintage: blackberry, redcurrant and light cedar scents. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins and moderate depth but it lacks a bit of flesh and feels just a tad undernourished on the finish. Early drinking. 85-87 points
