Cloves, cedar, definite oak impact, softly spoken as the fruit builds through the palate - this has character and is well-handled in the vintage. Sappy and unfussy. 90 points

The 2024 La Fleur de Bouard is a very good wine for the year. Black cherry, mocha, new leather, spice, licorice and a touch of French oak are nicely amplified in the glass. There`s good depth here, but there are some angular contours lurking beneath that might be addressable with elevage. 87-90 points
