Vignes de la Famille Tawse
The Champeaux premier cru is located mid-slope on the Brochon border, at the north end of Gevrey. Succulently sweet, with a mixture of ripe cherry and sunblush tomato, this seems unusually ripe in the context of the vintage. But there is plenty of acidity underneath, and the wine as a whole is very vibrant. No whole bunch, and no new oak. (NT 18/12/24)

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru includes 20% whole bunch this year. It has a beautifully defined bouquet with vivacious red berry fruit, superb delineation and a greater sense of mineralite than some of Tawse`s other cuvees. The palate is medium-bodied, harmonious and silky smooth with pure red fruit notes and a poised, persistent finish. The 2022 was great, so is this. 93-95 points

30% whole bunch, 30% new wood. This is one of the more elegant wines, little raspberries and some alpine strawberries, understated but long and fine in detail. Lovely graceful aftertaste, I think the Champeaux has been judged perfectly this year. 93-95 points
