Jane Anson
Gorgeous inky colour. Bright, zesty, full of bright fruit and fresh acidities, great floral aromatics, heavy spice on the finish. 50% new oak, 42hl/h yields, harvest September 20 to October 5. 92 points

The 2023 Puyblanquet is powerful, deep and resonant. A burly Saint-Émilion, the 2023 packs a pretty serious punch. Red/purplish fruit, rose petal, spice and menthol are all dialed up in this pretty wine. I would like to see more focus in the aromatics. This is a work in progress, slightly hampered by some Brett and angularity. Tasted two times. 87-89 points
