A negoce wine. Aux Reas is the Vosne village vineyard next to Clos des Reas premier cru. The bouquet is very Vosne, dark flower and plum, a lovely perfume countered on the palate by the sapidity a part-whole-bunch approach can impart. That sense of sapidity is more gentle than it can get in some vintages at Arlaud, where the salty-savouriness dominates the finish – it’s more of a supporting note here (and indeed, much the same could be said up and down the range this vintage). A very appealing expression of Vosne-Romanee. (NT 12/12/24)

The 2023 Vosne-Romanee Aux Reas has a very attractive and floral bouquet with violet-infused red fruit that bursts from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a particularly silky texture. An understated, smooth, licorice-tinged finish lingers. Very fine. 90-92 points

An attractive bright ruby colour. The bouquet has a certain red fruit sensuality, with some darker fruit notes behind. Fine grained tannins at the back, this is in an adolescent phase, with not everything fully integrated, But I am confident of the wine beneath. 90-92 points
