Neal Martin
The 2023 Chablis Vaucopin 1er Cru has a nicely detailed bouquet. This Chardonnay displays much more mineralite than the preceding Chablis Village, with crushed oyster shells unfolding in the glass. The palate is well balanced with that oyster shell continuing, fine salinity. Not long but elegant in style. 91 points

Pale colour with a green tint, fresh and graceful white fruit, not oak. Straight on the limestone so good tension, just some richer notes at the back, honeyed rather than honeysuckle. Touch of iodine to finish. 90-91 points
