Erin Brooks
Matured in around 5% new oak, the 2023 Chardonnay Ryo-fu is pure and expressive with slowly unfurling scents of apricot, poached pears, meringue, beeswax and almonds. The medium-bodied palate features concentrated, honey-nut flavors, and it has a softly mouth-coating texture. It’s balanced by vibrant acidity and has a long, flavorful finish. 94 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2023 Chardonnay Ryo-fu is laced with the essence of apricot, chamomile, marzipan, white flowers and lightly honeyed notes. The blend of fruit from Heintz and Dutton works so well, with the former contributing mid-pate oiliness, and the latter lending lifted floral top notes. 92 points
