2023 El Reventon Cebreros El Reventon

The 2023 El Reventón comes from the vineyard in Cebreros on slate soils that names the wine; the vineyard used to belong to Dani Landi and was produced and bottled by himself and in the last few years by Comando G. This had a similar fermentation as the rest of the single-vineyard wines: full clusters in concrete with indigenous yeasts and a long but not extractive maceration followed by aging with part in used barrels, part in stainless steel for some 10 months. There`s a sensation of higher ripeness and riper fruit here, with notes of prunes, decayed violets and a touch of dark cherries. The vineyard has a nice track record, but the nose makes me hesitate a bit. 2,200 bottles and 300 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2024.
