Anne Krebiehl MW
The 2022 Pinot Noir Haus Klosterberg, harvested from Molitor`s Pinot sites, wasn`t made in 2020 or 2021. In 2020, it was so dry that yields were too low, though the quality was exquisite, so all went into the Einstern wine. In 2021, disease pressure caused critically low yields, so this wasn`t made. Supple black cherry carries an aromatic overtone of smoky Amarena. Smooth tannins fill and coat the mouth with starched velvet, countered by vivid, lip-smacking acidity and freshness. The fruit rings long with smoky allure and a beautifully svelte body. 90 points
