Jasper Morris
All made in stainless steel as usual. A pale clear colour with a light green reflection. A chiselled white fruit defines the nose, though with the suggestion of some concentration to follow. Fresh apples. On the palate the fruit is richer, with some liquorice, and a suggestion of warmth, but still with the core of white fruit that typifies Vaucoupin, and fine length. Drink from 2026-2030. 90-92 points

The 2022 Chablis Vaucopin 1er Cru, aged entirely in tank, has a crisp, slightly yeasty bouquet that feels quite primal at the moment, even compared to the Chablis Village. The palate is pithy on the entry, with fine depth if missing a little complexity on the finish. Let`s see if it kicks on during the remainder of its elevage. 88-90 points
