2022 Francois Raquillet Mercurey Brigadiere

A clay based vineyard on the plateau. A paler yellow than the Vieilles Vignes. The nose is fresher too, while the wood adds some tension. All in white fruit, without the liquorice. A light citrus note behind. I would not want more oak but by the end of the elevage this should all have come together. Drink from 2024-2027. 87-89 points
