Media Reviews

Jasper Morris

From Les Treux. 50% whole bunches on younger vines, which were planted in 2001. A deep and even purple. This is very substantial, rather a classic Felettig, less nuanced than some though certainly with a fine depth of flavour. No doubt about the density, has it just surrendered a touch of elegance? Drink from 2032-2040. 94-96 points

Neal Martin

The 2022 Echezeaux Grand Cru comes from vines trained higher from the ground and includes 60% whole bunches and 100% new oak. It offers intense red fruit on the nose, with touches of espresso and tobacco coming through with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. This feels fresh and composed; it is linear towards the finish with a dab of white pepper from the stems. Very fine. 93-95 points

William Kelley

The 2022 Échezeaux Grand Cru is deep and multidimensional, wafting from the glass with notions of dark berries, orange zest, spices, licorice and incense. Full-bodied, layered and enveloping, with a rich core of fruit and a long, resonant finish, it`s one of the finest wines Felettig has produced from this small plot. 94-96 points
