Tamlyn Currin
Full bottle 1,279 g. Screwcap. Estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot planted in 1969.
Fresh, deep, ripe blackcurrant aroma and fruit. A little cedary, with a crushed-kale iron greenness and just-trimmed-box-hedge green aromatic freshness, but it’s the deep draw of dark, ripe, cool fruit sluicing through a channel of graphite minerality that, more than anything, defines the wine. Toe-curling goodness. 17.5 points
