The initial impression is powerfully reminiscent of very old (20 years +) Champagne, with dried leaves and apricot - which makes a lot of sense, given that the wine fermented very slowly and then spent 9 months on the lees. There is a hint of flor-influence, but very slight. The palate starts out bright and citrusy, then settles into a softer, ripe stone-fruit experience on the finish, which tapers off, dry and elegant.
