Jasper Morris MW
Mid crimson colour, with a softer strawberry bouquet. The fruit is well rounded until the pepper and spice kicks in, very much strawberry with a slight vegetal bitterness. 87-89 points

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village, racked 4-6 weeks prior to my visit, has a fragrant bouquet, maybe without quite the same pixelation as the Morey-Saint-Denis. The palate is framed by edgy tannins, brambly red fruit, orange zest and a touch of black pepper, vibrant and energetic towards its tense finish. This will offer a lot of pleasure over the next decade. 89-91 points
