William Kelley
The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains unwinds to reveal aromas of dark berries and cherries mingled with notions of baking chocolate, forest floor and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it`s a powerful, structured wine that`s broader-shouldered than the more suave, elegant Cailles and Les Saint-Georges, but which is also exceptionally characterful. 92-94 points

The deepest core in the purple colour and the sturdiest most upright bouquet. This is not about sensuality but there is a youthful majesty that is most appealing, a fresh finish, even a saline touch. Everything perfectly in place for a great bottle in the medium term, and maybe longer. 94-96 points
