40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 30% Mourvedre. The vineyards are in the Beqaa Valley, as is the winery; ageing takes place in their facility at Faqra, on the slopes of Mount Lebanon. Massaya is a collaboration between the Hebrart, Brunier (of Vieux Telegraphe) and Ghosn families. It hasn`t been easy to keep producing wine in a warezone, but the families have persevered, and the results are undeniably imrpessive. Dark, brooding and serious, this is an impressive Rhone-style blend with inky-black fruit and dense structure, promising much for the future. Great value too! (JH 07/11/2024)
