John Livingstone-Learmonth
Dark red; the nose is wide, has more to come, an air of simmered raspberry, a real good shaft of fruit, a very strong core to it. The palate immediately engages with bright, sustained raspberry, red fruits, develops a good line of tannin with rocky spark spurs inside, the close lip smacking. This would be a great blend for a weak Bordeaux in the past, historically. The aftertaste is salted. This has character, is stimulating, has classic structure and high interest. 5 stars
