2021 Jean Grivot Vosne-Romanee Aux Brulees

The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru has an exquisitely-delineated bouquet with black plum and raspberry fruit that unfold with each swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly flinty opening, compact, quite peppery with a deepening and rather grippy finish. There is something sultry about this Aux Brûlées, a Premier Cru that will repay 4-5 years in the cellar. 93-95 points

A clean fresh mid purple. Really very elegant on the nose, a slight mineral touch then in the middle of the precise and dense red fruit, a slatier finish. Interestingly complex and very persistent. The tannins are nicely woven in, and there is a refreshing touch of acidity. 92-94 points
