Antonio Galloni
The 2021 Pinot Noir Akiko`s Cuvee is a blend of Yu-ki, with smaller pieces from Gloria and Pratt—a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. The aromatics are especially popping today. Sweet rose petal, lavender, red cherry fruit, mint, spice and blood orange are all beautifully lifted. This is another terrific wine from Akiko and Ken Freeman. 95 points
Clive Pursehouse
Blue and tart black fruits, earth driven soils and a barrel selection across the various estate and non estate vineyards. Fresh aromatics leap out of the glass, blue and black fruits, black tea, mint and wild lavender. There`s a slight elegant austerity to the wine from its structure. 96 points
