The 2020 Riesling Urziger Wurzgarten Spatlese (Golden Capsule) is pure, clear, refined and flinty yet still muted. The reduction is also present on the palate yet with more positive effects. The wine is filigreed, refined and saline and shows crystalline, ripe acidity. This is a highly delicate Spatlese that needs some time to open up its nose as well, but it`s a long-distance runner anyway. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 25 21 in July 2022. 95 points
