Kerin O`Keefe
Showing depth and elegance the site is known for, the 2020 San Lorenzo di Verduno has multi-faceted scents of ripe red berry, underbrush, dog rose, leather and eucalyptus. Full-bodied and loaded with finesse, the delicious palate delivers ripe Morello cherry, wild raspberry, star anise and ground clove set against a backbone of refined tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Drink 2028–2035. 95 points

Verduno. Lustrous and just mid ruby. Embracing, ripe red fruit on the nose with ethereal balsamic hints and a suggestion of eucalyptus and dark earth. Succulent fruit that is still a little closed. Generous yet focused and with finely ground, almost aromatic tannins. Great length and full spread on the finish, but still needs time. 17.5 points
