2020 Division Villages Beton (Oregon)

Secondary Description
Funky-fun from Oregon, a wine which would not be out of place in a trendy Paris wine bar. Red cherry and blueberry fruit on the aromas, along with the dried grass and earth of a distant stable. The palate is rounded and fruity, with blood orange, grapejuice and pomelo, before the notes of horse-hide return on the finish. Unusual (at least in our range) but really enjoyable (and deceptively easy) to drink, well worth a try if you think the style might work for you! On re-tasting several hours later, the horsey notes had blown off, leaving only joyous fruit behind... (JH 16/02/2023)
