Wild flower, strawberry and herb - this is a perfumed, floral wine with the generous sort of aromatics that make me think of Pinot Noir grown in more fertile soils. In fact it is Cannonau, the alluring guise Grenache assumes on the island of Sardinia. Fine tannins, bright, crunchy acidity and a moreish, soft finish that keeps you coming back for more. The traditional Sardinian bottle shape may look like like it belongs on an 18th century mariner`s table, but that only adds to the wine`s generous charm. (NT 06/01/20)
